Yachana Reserve Species List

Yachana is pleased to partner with Global Vision International (GVI).  GVI Amazon, Ecuador began working with the Foundation in January 2006, with one of the main aims of compiling a species list for the Yachana Reserve.  During their time in the reserve, GVI has continued to develop this list and alongside this ongoing work, there have been a number of different projects looking into a variety of the species found, including among others, bats, butterflies, birds, dung beetles and amphibians.  GVI’s rainforest conservation and community development expedition offers volunteers the opportunity to participate in and get hands on experience of conducting research and scientific investigation work, which supports wildlife conservation and the protection of the Yachana Reserve.
